Arc & Stones: Arc & Stones EP Review
Brooklyn’s Arc & Stones was born in the summer of 2012 by college friends Dan Pellarin and Ben Cramer but soon after added Eddy Bayes, and Joe Doino. Their self-titled EP Arc & Stones was released in February 2013. Arc & Sounds has a sound that reminds the listener of many of the well-renowned modern rock bands of today. Although they are young, Arc & Stones is far from timid- Arc & Stones is 5 tracks of power.
The EP opens up with “Silence,” a song that is definitely the opposite of what it’s titled. The second track of the EP, “Say Goodbye” starts somberly but quickly builds up. “Let Me Down” pairs a piano and acoustic guitar with velvety vocals. For fans of The White Stripes and Arctic Monkeys, “She’s Mine” is your track. The chorus is the perfect sing-along packed with plenty of high energy. The final track also happens to be the strongest track of Arc & Stones. “Rise” closes the album and is another tune that is easy to sing along and rock out to. When listening, you find yourself getting so lost in the track that when it ends you have no choice but to start the album over again.
