Tab Benoit and Duane Betts team up for tour
Tab Benoit and Duane Betts have announced the Southern Gentlemen Tour, a 12-date run of shows scheduled for February 2027.
The tour will feature Benoit alongside Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel, bringing together Louisiana blues and Southern rock. The tour kicks off February 5 at Tipitina’s in New Orleans and concludes February 25 at The Ellis Theatre in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
Benoit, a multiple Grammy-nominated guitarist and vocalist, has spent more than three decades performing his blend of Louisiana blues, soul, and roots music. A Louisiana Music Hall of Fame inductee and multiple B.B. King Entertainer of the Year award winner, Benoit has recorded with artists including Dr. John, Willie Nelson, and James Cotton.
Benoit’s latest release, Blues Masters Live, arrived October 23 via Acoustic Sounds. The album features a previously unreleased 2002 performance recorded at Blue Heaven Studios alongside fellow Louisiana blues musicians.
Betts, the son of Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts, has built a career combining Southern rock, blues, country, and roots music. In addition to performing with his father’s band, Great Southern, for nearly a decade, Betts is a co-leader of The Allman Betts Band and the annual Allman Betts Family Revival.
Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel released their latest album, Isle of Hope, on June 12, 2026, via Sun Records. Produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, the album features Betts alongside Johnny Stachela on guitar and vocals, Pedro Arevalo on bass and vocals, Vincent Fossett Jr. on drums, and Max Butler on B-3 organ.
The Southern Gentlemen Tour will make stops in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi, among other states, during its February run.
