Wolf Mail releases “The Wolf is at Our Door”

The long-awaited studio album, The Wolf is at Our Door, has been released by Canadian-born blues guitarist and singer-songwriter Wolf Mail. This is his seventh album, following his live recording in Norway, Oseana Auditorium. Distributed by Sony Music and released by Kobalt Music Group, the album includes nine new songs with a contemporary bluesy vibe, slow burn vocals, and moments of psych-like sound that bring to mind Muddy Water’s “Electric Mud,” particularly on the title track.

The album was pre-produced at Golden Retriever Studios in Sydney, Australia, with overdubs at River Studios in Alkmaar, Netherlands. Drums and percussion were recorded by Niko Sarran at Rhythm Studios in the South of France. Wolf Mail has spent the past two decades performing at clubs and festivals, traveling from small towns to large cities, gathering memories that would eventually become the musical foundation for his new album.

The Mark Gilbert guitar ambassador plans to embark on a Japanese tour towards the end of 2023, followed by an extended European tour.
