Premiere: Alastair Greene – “Last Train Around the Sun”
In a Blues Rock Review premiere, listen to Alastair Greene’s “Last Train Around The Sun.” The track is the second single from his upcoming album, Trouble At Your Door (Deluxe Edition), which will be released November 13, 2026, via Ruf Records.
“Last Train Around The Sun” features a gritty blues rock riff inspired by Muddy Waters’ “Hoochie Coochie Man,” combined with the guitar-driven sound of ZZ Top. Lyrically, the song explores the consequences of self-destructive behavior and watching someone continue down a dangerous path.
“I wrote ‘Last Train Around The Sun’ many years ago, but the story still rings true today. Most of us have known someone headed down a troubled road, where you can see what’s coming even if they can’t. That’s what gives the lyrics a timeless quality—it’s a human story that doesn’t belong to any one moment,” Greene said.

Trouble At Your Door (Deluxe Edition) is a newly remastered and expanded version of Greene’s 2014 album, originally released through Delta Groove / Eclecto Groove Productions.
The 14-track collection features a more organic sound that Greene feels is closer to his original vision for the record. The album was remastered by Sean McCue, who recorded and engineered the original sessions at Coyote Road Studios in Santa Barbara, California.
The deluxe edition also includes two previously unreleased recordings: an acoustic version of “Drunk Again” and a studio version of “3 Bullets” featuring Erik Norlander on Hammond organ.
