Gov’t Mule announces spring tour dates

Gov’t Mule has announced 11 new spring headlining tour dates scheduled for April, extending the band’s 2026 run on the road. The newly added shows begin April 14 in Kansas City and include stops in Des Moines, Charlotte, Athens, Nashville, Chattanooga, and Little Rock before concluding April 28 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Larkin Poe will open and support Gov’t Mule on select dates from April 14 through April 22, while Maggie Rose will join the tour as the opening act on April 24. Artist fan club presale tickets will be available starting Wednesday, February 4 at 12 p.m. ET, followed by local presales on Thursday, February 5 at 12 p.m. ET. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 6, at 12 p.m. ET. VIP Experiences will be offered for all shows, including packages featuring a post-show meet and greet with Warren Haynes.

The April dates build on Gov’t Mule’s previously announced spring headlining tour, which kicks off March 27 with a special “Mile High Mule” performance at Mission Ballroom in Denver and includes an April 10 stop in Charleston, South Carolina. The spring run will conclude May 1 with a headlining show at the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans, following a two-night venue takeover by Haynes. On April 30, Haynes will perform at the same venue with the Warren Haynes Band for a Dreams & Songs Symphonic Experience alongside the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.

Later this summer, Gov’t Mule will co-headline an eight-date run with blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, with shows scheduled between July 29 and August 16.

Gov’t Mule’s current lineup features Haynes on guitar and vocals, Matt Abts on drums, Danny Louis on keyboards and guitar, and Kevin Scott on bass. The band released its 12th studio album, Peace…Like A River, in 2023 via Fantasy Records. The album received widespread acclaim and includes guest appearances from Ivan Neville, Ruthie Foster, Billy F Gibbons, Billy Bob Thornton, and Celisse.

Since that release, Haynes has remained active with solo projects, issuing Million Voices Whisper in 2024 followed by The Whisper Sessions in September 2025. Most recently, he released a newly remixed and remastered edition of his 1993 debut solo album, Tales of Ordinary Madness, which arrived January 30 via Megaforce Records. Haynes is currently supporting the release with his Winter of Warren 2026 Tour, which includes solo performances in February and Warren Haynes Band dates in early March.
