Rock and Roll Hall of Famer cancels 2026 tour dates due to health

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Glenn Hughes has canceled all of his scheduled 2026 tour dates due to a health issue, according to a statement shared on his official social media channels.

In the announcement, Hughes confirmed that a minor health matter requires his full attention over the coming months, prompting the difficult decision to cancel his planned 2026 USA tour. The message emphasized that the decision was made on medical advice and with his long-term well-being in mind.

“I’m taking advice from my medical team, who I am working closely with,” Hughes said in the statement. “Hoping to see you, on the road of happy destiny.”

The post also noted that all ticket and VIP upgrade refunds will be available through original points of purchase.

Now 74 years old, Hughes remains one of the most revered voices in rock and blues rock history. Known as “The Voice of Rock,” Hughes rose to global prominence in the mid-1970s as a member of Deep Purple, contributing to albums such as Burn, Stormbringer, and Come Taste the Band. In more recent years, he has enjoyed continued success with Black Country Communion, alongside Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham, and Derek Sherinian, while also maintaining an active solo career.

At this time, no rescheduled dates or future touring plans have been announced. Hughes expressed gratitude to fans for their understanding and support as he focuses on his health, leaving the door open for a return to the stage when circumstances allow.
