Kenny Wayne Shepherd adds new tour dates with legendary guests on select shows
Kenny Wayne Shepherd has expanded his Ledbetter Heights 30th Anniversary Tour with a new run of West Coast dates extending the celebration through late June 2026. The latest additions will bring Shepherd and his band to Lubbock, Albuquerque, Tucson, Phoenix, Cerritos, Oxnard, and Escondido. The tour features full-album performances of Ledbetter Heights along with career-spanning sets.
The newly added shows follow the previously announced February through May routing, which begins February 19 in Dallas and covers the South, Northeast, Midwest, and Southeast. Special guests Jimmie Vaughan and Eric Johnson will appear on select dates. Tickets for the new West Coast shows go on sale November 21 at 10 a.m. local time.
The tour commemorates the 30th anniversary of Ledbetter Heights, Shepherd’s 1995 debut album. Recorded when he was still a teenager, the release earned Platinum certification and introduced the young guitarist to a national audience. Shepherd wrote or co-wrote most of the album’s tracks and named the project in honor of a historic neighborhood in his hometown of Shreveport, paying tribute to Huddie “Lead Belly” Ledbetter.
“In a lot of ways, this is the album that gave me everything,” says Shepherd. “Revisiting it put me back in touch with the wonder and excitement of those days. I didn’t know what lay ahead. I just knew I loved playing the blues.”
Ledbetter Heights laid the foundation for a career that has included tours with Bob Dylan, Van Halen, The Rolling Stones, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, six GRAMMY nominations, and a series of chart-topping albums that blend blues tradition with modern rock. Shepherd has remained active creatively, releasing twelve solo albums and two records with supergroup The Rides. His recent collaboration with Bobby Rush, Young Fashioned Ways, earned a GRAMMY nomination, and his double album Dirt on My Diamonds Vol. 1 & 2 highlights his continued evolution as an artist.
