Slash honors Robert Johnson with “Crossroads” live performance
Slash has released a live performance video for “Crossroads (Live),” the latest single from his upcoming album and concert film Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival. The video captures Slash and his Blues Ball band performing Robert Johnson’s blues classic during their July 17, 2024 show at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado.
“Crossroads (Live)” showcases the group’s interpretation of the Delta blues standard, driven by Slash’s guitar tone and the band’s soulful groove. It follows the previously released single “Oh Well (Live),” a reimagining of the Fleetwood Mac classic that will also appear on the upcoming live album.
Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival will be released November 7 through earMUSIC. The album and concert film were recorded during the inaugural S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour, which stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance.
The band lineup features Slash on guitar, Teddy “ZigZag” Andreadis on keyboards, harmonica, and vocals, Tash Neal on rhythm guitar and vocals, Johnny Griparic on bass and backing vocals, and Michael Jerome on drums. The setlist includes “Parchman Farm Blues,” “Killing Floor,” “Born Under a Bad Sign,” “Oh Well,” “Big Legged Woman,” “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” “Stormy Monday,” “Crossroads,” and “Shake Your Money Maker.” It also features a new original track titled “Metal Chestnut.”
A concert film accompanies the album with behind-the-scenes interviews and documentary footage. Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival will be available in multiple formats, including 2CD+DVD Digipak, 2CD+Blu-ray Digipak, and a heavyweight black 3LP gatefold vinyl edition.
The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour was launched in support of Slash’s 2024 blues album Orgy of the Damned. The tour featured 23 U.S. dates and raised more than $125,000 for nonprofit organizations supporting mental health, equality, and community initiatives.
Orgy of the Damned spent 13 weeks at number one on the Billboard Blues Albums chart and was voted Blues Rock Review’s #1 album of 2024.

Suckiest version of Crossroads maybe ever. Just sayin
I’ve got no use for Guns and Roses but this Crossroads ROCKS!
I love going to concerts—that moment when the lights go down, the audience goes silent, and the music begins always gives me goosebumps. But between performances, I sometimes miss those same intense emotions. Recently, friends suggested trying an escape room, and we chose https://cognitionescapes.com/rooms/the-4th-door/ . And you know, the sensations were similar—tension, adrenaline, a sense of presence, and the team’s shared drive. Only instead of a stage, there are riddles and a timer. So you can find emotions not only in music but also in such intellectual adventures.
