  • Sadly, Not one of those got any tv time and than they rarely, if ever do. That’s why I have no respect for the Grammy’s as it does not respect the music I love!!!!

    • I whole heartedly agree! And without the Blues where would they be!!?

  • Did anyone else notice that all four nominees for Best Contemporary Blues Album were women? The blues sorely needs to get back to its roots. I’d rather hear King Solomon Hill singing about his woman making whoopee with the devil in hell tonight.

    • So you’re saying having four female nominees is a bad thing?

  • Blues, it has been said, is a “feeling”. It’s not a color on a canvas, a car or a bridge. Not a path to glory or a specific destination, not an oath or decree. Not always you, not always me. When something in your mind says hey cranium, let’s purge this sham, this coming exam; and catch and release when the flam hits the fan.
Only then, the care for others comes across. Not as a feeling but as a meeting, a place to stand.
