Love always finding out what albums I’ve missed.. just about everybody listed here.. Anthony Gomes, Edgar Winter, Katie Henry, Jimmy Hall.

One I think is not listed is Ann Wilson’s Fierce Bliss. It’s my write in. Couple of killer tracks with Warren Haynes and Gov’t Mule. Would love to see a Gov’t Mule album featuring Ann Wilson.

Larry McCray – Blues Without You
Larry McCray deserves all of the recognition and accolades a musician could possibly receive. Aside from being a very kind and humble man with a sincere heart for the music and his fans, Larry is without a doubt the best blues guitarist working today, bar none. His seemingly endless creativity, his sense of melody and harmony, and his superhuman technique put him head and shoulders above the rest, in my opinion. His guitar prowess is equally matched by his chillbump-raising vocal abilities. Very few performers today share his ability to project power and soul with as much pure emotion in their voice the way Larry can.
I realize music is not a competition, and opinions are subjective, but for me there’s no one else putting it all together and laying it down like Larry does. With or without awards on his shelf, Larry is a living legend who’s legacy will be that of a man with unbelievable musical abilities equaled by his unbelievable heart; a role model for us all.

There are many great choices on this list. I voted for Anthony Gomes’ “High Voltage Blues.” If you haven’t heard of hime, visit his web site and give his music a try. It is excellent, rowdy rocking’ blues music, great songs and lyrics. After hearing his music for the first time a couple years ago, I went back and bought all his earlier material. It’s all good!

Cardinal Black – hands down the best band around at the moment, big Tom with a tone of are soul and Chris buck shredding riffs like Ramsey cutting carrots!
Lyrical genius and powerful sucker punches. If you haven’t already, I suggest pouring a Smokey whiskey, lighting a Cuban and sitting back in that chair and giving these guys a listen!
