Bonamassa weighs in on Spotify

We live in a world where streaming is king and platforms like Spotify rule the day, but is that a good thing for musicians?

In an interview with Blues Rock Review, Joe Bonamassa said, “I know musicians, songwriters in Nashville that have had 25, 30 million spins on Spotify or Pandora or where ever they think and they got a check as a principle writer for the song for $750. Now you tell me how that pays the bills?” Bonamassa added, “They are now systematically telling people that creativity and artwork is free.”
