Tedeschi Trucks Band Wows in Lynn, MA
The Tedeschi Trucks band performed at the Lynn Auditorium in Lynn, MA on October 15.
As soon as the lights came up, there wasn’t a single person who wasn’t on their feet cheering, starting off the show with a standing ovation as the sound of Derek Trucks’ soaring guitar riffs and Susan Tedeschi’s soulful voice rang out. The two are quite the musical power couple and they have certainly come together in something amazing by forming The Tedeschi Trucks Band.
The Tedeschi Trucks band is an 11-piece band with Derek Trucks on guitar and Susan Tedeschi on guitar and vocals. There were two backup singers, a horn section made up of tenor saxophone, trumpet and trombone, two drummers, bass, and a keyboard player who also played organ and flute. Every musician on stage had an incredible skill and constant energy. The evening was filled with impressive guitar solos from both Trucks and Tedeschi. The solos from each band member throughout the show were just as impressive.
The band played several songs from their album, Revelator, such as “Midnight in Harlem”, “Come See About Me”, and “ Love Has Something Else to Say”. Almost every song they played ended with a standing ovation, but the choice in cover songs really kept the audience on their feet. They played “Uptight (Everything’s Alright)” by Stevie Wonder, a great arrangement of “Wade in the Water”, as well as a medley of Sly and the Family Stone tunes.
The show ended with every fan on their feet, cheering even louder, giving a standing ovation even greater than the one the show started with. This band is what music is all about. Eleven incredible musicians on stage together, making real, heartfelt music.

Hi Liz, good start to your reviewing, but get the names of the players, in a band like this they are all worth mentioning.. I look forward to tonight’s show in Rochester and welcome to the family!
TTB is so damn good live and “REVEALATOR” is hitting all the right notes – love it!
