Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam: Coming Up For Air Review

Davy Knowles is one of the up and comers in the British blues scene. Coming Up For Air is his second album, and first with the new Back Door Slam lineup.

The album is definitely more polished than the first record, but not necessarily better. Knowles shows off his impressive guitar skills throughout and really rocks out on “Riverbed” and “Tear Down The Walls.”

While I wouldn’t say this album is better or worse than his debut album Roll Away, it’s just different. Knowles is definitely in the young crop of stars that will be ruling the blues world for years to come.

The Review: 8/10
