Artur Menezes announces new album featuring Eric Gales, Kingfish, and Ariel Posen
Blues rock guitarist Artur Menezes will release his new studio album, Microwaved Dreams, on November 20, 2026. The nine-track album features guest appearances from Eric Gales, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and Ariel Posen.
The announcement follows Menezes’ recent win for Artist of the Year at the Unsigned Only Music Awards for “Once Again,” the lead single from the upcoming album. The competition received more than 4,000 entries from artists representing over 100 countries.
Microwaved Dreams is a fully independent release that blends traditional blues with heavy rock riffs, psychedelic influences, and funk-driven grooves. The album features fuzz-heavy guitars, overdriven bass, synthesizers, and powerful drums, incorporating elements of alternative rock into Menezes’ blues-based sound.
Lyrically, the album explores modern life, addressing subjects including burnout, disconnection, and the impact of technology on human relationships.
The record also draws inspiration from the rural music of northeastern Brazil, where Menezes grew up. The Brazilian-born, Los Angeles-based guitarist incorporates musical influences from his upbringing alongside traditional American blues.
Three tracks feature guest guitarists. Eric Gales appears on “Over My Head,” Ariel Posen contributes to “Fake Reality,” and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram joins Menezes on “Moving On.”
Menezes spoke about the album in a recent interview with Blues Rock Review that you can watch below.
Menezes will begin touring in support of the album at Brazil’s Best of Blues and Rock Festival, where he will share the bill with Eddie Vedder, Roger Daltrey, and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. A month-long European headlining tour will follow.
