Buddy Guy announces new album, releases single with Joe Walsh

Fresh off a successful appearance in the hit movie, Sinners, Buddy Guy has announced his new album, Ain’t Done With The Blues, will be released on July 30th, his 89th Birthday. The album features guest appearances from Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Joe Bonamassa, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Peter Frampton, and Joe Walsh.

Guy said, “This album is about where I’ve been, it’s about where I’m going, and the people I learned everything from. Muddy, Wolf, Walter, Sonny Boy, BB, I could go on and on. Before they passed, they used to say, “Man, if you outlive me, just keep the Blues alive,” and I’m trying to keep that promise.” Guy adds, “Now, I can’t kick my leg up high as I used to, or jump off the stage like I did in my 20’s and 30’s, but I’m going to give you everything I got as long as I got it.”

The first single, “How Blues Is That” featuring Joe Walsh has been released. Listen below.
