Delta Generators announce “ON & ON”
Delta Generators have announced the global release of their new studio album ON & ON, arriving May 22. The Boston-based blues rock band has also released the official music video for the album’s lead single, “I Got You,” directed by Jim Foster of Red 13.
In a statement about the video, the band said, “the theme is one we all can relate to, simply exploring the omnipresent reality everyone has their demons.”
ON & ON was recorded live at Power Station N.E. in Waterford, Connecticut, with engineer Evan Bakke, known for his work with Warren Haynes and Prince. The album’s material was written, arranged, and rehearsed over eight days before being tracked in two days, with the band focusing on capturing a natural, live sound.
Brothers Charlie and Rick O’Neal, who play guitar and bass respectively, have performed together since their teenage years. Both previously played in the band of Benjamin Orr of The Cars. Charlie O’Neal has long cited blues guitar as a major influence, drawing inspiration from artists such as Elmore James, Freddie King, and Albert Collins.
The band formed in 2007 with vocalist Craig Rawding, bassist Rick O’Neal, guitarist Charlie O’Neal, and drummer Jeff Armstrong. After early lineup changes, the group gained recognition by winning the Boston Blues Challenge in 2008 and competing at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
Following Rawding’s departure in 2016, vocalist and harmonica player Brian Templeton joined the group. Charlie O’Neal said of the transition, “Brian lifted the DGs to a new level with his showmanship and drive. I don’t think the band would have continued if Brian hadn’t joined.” Rick O’Neal added, “Besides his top-notch vocals, Brian brought a powerful stage presence and killer harmonica playing to the mix and his lyric writing is in a class all by itself.“
Speaking about the new album, Armstrong said, “Unlike the previous record, which was more of a compilation of great songs, this new record stands in itself as a complete cohesive work.” O’Neal added, “ON & ON perfectly captures the live spirit of the band and is by far sonically superior to any of our previous albums.“
Templeton emphasized the band’s focus on live performance and audience connection, saying, “Making a spiritual bond with the people, our fans, is why we do what we do. There really is no other reason.”

February 14 – Des Moines, IA – Winter Blues Fest 2026 (Marriott Downtown)
February 21 – Shirley, MA – Bull Run
March 6 – Cambridge, MA – Lizard Lounge
May 22 – Plymouth, MA – Spire Center for Performing Arts
The band is also planning a U.S. and European tour this summer, with additional dates to be announced in the coming weeks.
