Kenny Wayne Shepherd reveals guitar collection

Blues rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd has given fans a rare look behind the scenes of his extensive guitar collection, sharing a photo that shows a portion of his instruments stored together.

The image was posted in response to fan curiosity following a previous social media update, with Shepherd explaining that assembling all of his guitars in one place simply is not possible.

“After my post yesterday several people asked if I would post a pic of all my guitars. I don’t have a pic of all of them together. I don’t even have all of them in the same place to be able take a pic of them together… but I do have a more recent pic of some of them in storage together! ” Shepherd wrote.

Known for his long association with Fender Stratocasters, Shepherd also addressed a common assumption about his collection. “There’s definitely a lot of them but I have several friends who have many more guitars than I do! I’m actually thinking of maybe selling some for the first time ever to free up some space. Oh, and they’re not all Stratocasters.”

While Shepherd did not specify which guitars might be on the chopping block, the idea of him parting with any instruments immediately sparked interest among fans and collectors. Over the course of his career, Shepherd has become closely identified with a range of iconic guitars, many of which have played a role in shaping his powerful modern blues rock sound.
