Dylan Triplett launches new single on Kingfish’s record label
Red Zero Records, the label founded by Christone “Kingfish” Ingram in collaboration with Exceleration Music, has signed blues and soul singer/songwriter Dylan Triplett as its first official artist. The St. Louis-based vocalist marks the announcement with the release of a new single, “Can’t Run From It,” along with a stripped-down acoustic version, both now available on streaming platforms. The track serves as the lead preview for Triplett’s upcoming sophomore album set for release in 2026.
“Can’t Run From It” channels introspection into resolve, framing personal truth as something that must be confronted rather than avoided. The song blends emotional vulnerability with punchy groove-driven production, emphasizing perseverance and accountability.
“I’m extremely grateful to be the first official signee on the Red Zero label,” says Triplett. “I’m excited about my first single, and I can’t wait until folks hear the full album.”
“I’m excited to introduce the first artist signed to Red Zero Records,” says Ingram. “I’ve known Dylan a long time, and his debut single and upcoming album are something truly special and soulful. Welcome to the Red Zero family.”
Triplett, 25, released his debut album Who Is He? in 2022. The record earned him the Blues Foundation’s 2023 award for Best Emerging Artist.
In 2024, Triplett joined the Experience Hendrix Tour, performing alongside Taj Mahal, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Samantha Fish, Eric Johnson, and others during national runs in September and October, followed by another tour in early 2025. The opportunity came after Ingram contributed to Triplett’s debut album, leading to a continued creative partnership as Red Zero began developing its roster.
Triplett says he had interest from other labels but waited for the right opportunity. “I had been approached by other labels, but I was holding on, hoping that something like this would come along,” he says. “When it happened, I knew: ‘This is where I’m going; I’m not doing anything else.’”
