King King and Ben Poole tip hat to Eric Clapton and Robert Cray

King King and Ben Poole made the trip across the pond for rare United States appearances at Playing With Fire 2025 in Omaha, Nebraska. During the encore of King King’s headlining set, Alan Nimmo introduced Ben Poole on stage to join the band. King King, along with Poole, performed a rendition of “Old Love,” written by Eric Clapton and Robert Cray. The song was featured on Clapton’s Journeyman album in 1989, and also appeared on King King’s debut album, Take My Hand, in 2011.
