Joe Bonamassa extends record with 29th #1 Blues album

Joe Bonamassa has done it again. Bonamassa notched his 29th career #1 album on the Billboard Blues chart with Breakthrough, debuting in the top spot. Breakthrough dethroned the Sinners soundtrack at #1, which had dominated the Billboard Blues chart for months. Bonamassa’s 29th #1 album on the Billboard Blues chart extends his own record for the most #1 blues albums in the history of the chart.

In a social media post, Bonamassa said, “Many thanks for the support for our new album ‘Breakthrough’. It is the 29th #1 album of my career. When I was working with Tom Dowd on my first solo album in 1998 I had no idea it would go this far. Thank you so much for all your support over the past 36 years.”
