Artur Menezes reimagines the Black Keys’ “I Got Mine”
Brazlian blues rock guitarist Artur Menezes has released his spin on “I Got Mine” by the Black Keys. It’s the first track released from the upcoming EP, covered, vol. i, a collection of hand-picked covers.
“The lyrics about growing up and facing life felt personal, and as a big fan of The Black Keys, I’d always wanted to cover one of their songs,” Menezes told Blues Rock Review. “I gave this one a heavier, laid-back, psychedelic vibe, with most of the synthy sounds coming from my guitar.”
Menezes recently played on the Experience Hendrix Tour.
