Samantha Fish unleashes “I’m Done Runnin'”

Samantha Fish has released “I’m Done Runnin’.” It’s the second single from Fish’s upcoming album, Paper Doll, out April 25.

Fish says, “It’s about pushing forward even when life knocks you down, because you know what you want.” Samantha adds,  “It’s taken me years to finally find my voice in a studio setting. But with this record, I took everything I had and slammed it right on the table.” 

Recorded at The Orb in Austin and Savannah Studios in Los Angeles, the nine-song collection came together amidst Fish’s relentless touring schedule tapping into the energy of her live performances. “I’d never made a record on the road like that,” Fish said. “Even though it was intense, it felt great to maintain the momentum from the live shows. It helped us create an album with a real, living pulse.”

Produced by Detroit garage-rock icon Bobby Harlow (The Go), Paper Doll includes a guest contribution from Mick Collins (The Gories) on one track and features Fish’s touring bandmates Ron Johnson (bass), Jamie Douglass (drums), and Mickey Finn (keys).
