No When Rivers Meet on the list? All good acts, but….
They should be on all blue rock list
When listed the best of f
I totally agree with you, rave reviews and now number one on the Blues charts with their live tour LP.
Add Quinn Sullivan to this list !!!
This list could go on forever with people and bands that gender bend blues-rock. Just listen to the main radio station SiriusXM Bluesville and I hear acts that “don’t belong” and acts that “play the blues” but its not ‘who they are.” I’m surprised to see ZZ Ward here cause she’s a pop act, created in a record label lab somewhere, hopefully I will see her live to convince me I’m wrong. The rest are spot on I would include:
Walter Trout
Eliza Neals
Danielle Nichole
Albert Castigula
Albert Cummings
Ally Vennable
and so on and so on
Anthony Gomes should be at the top of this list!! His music is the best I have heard in years!! He is an amazing guitarist that will blow you away!!
Agreed, the Blues Foundation has done Anthony a disgraceful disservice by snubbing him consistently.
I agree. I’ve seen him multiple times and his shows and music are awesome.
No mention of Joe Bonamassa
How about Jonny Lang?
Southern Avenue, North Mississippi All stars and Tedeschi Trucks Band could all easily have made the list as well
and not to mention Davy Knowles, Jamie McLean, Mike Zito, Albert Castiglia, Selwyn Birchwood, Bywater Call, Sam Morrow, Carolyn Wonderland, and D.K. Harrell in addition to others suggested in the comment here…
Eddie 9v is an obvious choice. And another glaring omission is Selwyn Birchwood. Both these artists blend old and new sounds all the while crossing genres like soul, funk, swamp and old school r & b usually within the same songs Maybe they didn’t make the list because they actually play their instruments and aren’t incorporating hip hop or samples in their music.
Pete sounds like a dumb ass bitch
