Watch the performance below.
I had the worst year of my life last year, because my only child had colon cancer. I couldn’t breath, laugh, or live my life. I got through it by playing my collection of Joe Bonamassa music. Blasting it in the house, the car my playlist was never off. My dad introduced me to the Blues when I was literally a baby! He had a colletion of 78 records of all the old blues guys and would play them out in the garage while doing stuff. I was right there by my daddy soaking up that music. I think it’s why I FEEL the nusic, I don’t just HEAR it.
I’m seeing Joe on Oct. 30th in Palm Desert California at the Auga Caleinte Casino, them again on November 5 at the San Diego Civic Center.
Thanks to Joe I survivied that horrible year and my son is full remisson!!
Amazing that John McLaughlin is still performing, and apparently, joyfully – I was turned on to fusion rock/fusion jazz by his Mahavishnu Orchestra, way back in 1971, with the “The Inner Mounting Flame’ and again in 1973 with “Birds Of Fire” – Exceptional artist.
So much creativity in the late 60s through the early 80s.
