  • Kingfish Ingram is certainly one of the best young, upcoming blues guitarists currently in the blues-rock scene & surely he’s making splashes all over. Kingfish’s guitar playing is just super, well polished & performed. Though I wish, he’d stick to singing & playing his own songs & well-known blues songs since he’s not gifted with a strong voice. Now late Prince was a very talented & and acrobatic performer but he didn’t fit in the blues or blues-rock neighborhood & hence I was surprised to see Kingfish perform “Purple Rain”. Everyone who saw him was shocked to see Kingfish belt out his version of that song. As for me, it didn’t go well at the blues-rock show. Maybe, his Mgr or Coach should advise& all the best. him a bit in this regard . Anyway , I wish Kingfish a long performing life.
