Eric Johanson releases “Yellow Moon” video

Eric Johanson has released a music video for “Yellow Moon.” The Neville Brothers cover is featured on Johanson’s upcoming acoustic covers album, Covered Tracks Volume 2. Johanson released Volume 1 earlier this year.

“It was exactly 10 years ago that I first played the New Orleans’ Jazz Fest, and it was on stage with The Neville Brothers for their annual closing headline set. They only played it once more after that.  It was a pivotal moment for me to look around and see these amazing New Orleans legends and be a part of that moment with them,” says Johanson. “The invite came from Cyril Neville, whose band I was playing with at the time. I soaked up so much inspiration from being around those guys, and I always wanted to pay tribute to that.  Covering “Yellow Moon” and bringing it into my own repertoire, is my own small way of keeping their music alive and bringing it to a new audience.”

Covered Tracks Volume 2 will be released on June 4.
