Vintage Trouble has released a cover of Edwin Starr’s “War” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the song. The band teamed up with producer Matt Salazar and Mad Muse Studios to record the track.
Great cover choice! Vintage Trouble’s raw energy really shines through. Love the updated sound. Wonder if they’ll tour with this? Reminds me of the frantic pace of Moto X3M, gotta go fast! This 50th anniversary tribute is awesome; a powerful message still relevant today. Congrats to the band and the production team.
Listening to this makes me think about how much effort goes into creating something impactful, just like learning anything new. There are definitely going to be some swings and misses along the way. It reminds me of playing doodle baseball, actually! You gotta time that swing just right, and you’re not gonna hit a home run every time. But each try teaches you something, gets you a little closer.
Okay, just heard Vintage Trouble’s “War”! Wow, they really nailed it. That raw energy and passion is totally there. It makes me think about those times you feel this rush of intensity in life, when everything’s on the line, like trying to dodge a bigger blob in Agario just as you’re about to gobble up a few smaller ones. Suddenly you’re the hunted instead! Definitely gives you that adrenaline boost!
Wow, cool idea to cover “War”! I didn’t realize it was 50 years old, time flies. What I liked from the article was hearing about Matt Salazar being involved. He always seems to bring a raw energy to recordings. I wonder if they went for a really faithful recreation or put their own bluesy spin on it? Covers can be tricky, right? Like, in horror games, sometimes the remakes nail the atmosphere and sometimes… not so much. Anyway, I’m curious to hear it now!
