    1)Blues of Desperation – 7 songs
    2)Different Shades of Blue – 5 songs
    3)Driving Towards the Daylight – 4 songs
4)The Ballad of John Henry – 4 songs

And tied for 5th, 3 other albums with 2 songs each (An Acoustic Evening, Black Rock, and Dust Bowl).

I really liked Different Shades of Blue when it was released, I think the writing is a big step up… for some reason I just don’t listen to it much anymore. You & Me is a great album, too.

Driving Towards the Daylight is probably my least favorite of his albums. For the most part, the lyrics are terrible.
Heavenly Soul is great, but it’s the only good original on it. Some of the covers are weak as well (well, relatively speaking). Different strokes for different folks, of course.

  • My top Joe Bonamassa album is “Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House”. I saw the video production of this on PBS and he had me hooked.
I am systematically purchasing his work and of course I receive his email newsletter. Thank You for your great email.

I’m a little surprised at the lack of love for You and Me – Bridge to Better Days, So Many Roads, and the excellent cover of Tea for One
