Travis Green: A Little Too Late Review

A Little Too Late is the new album from Austin based guitarist Travis Green. The album was produced by Kid Anderson in San Jose, California and features ten tracks.

The title track kicks things off with a country tinged boogie. One thing that immediately grabs your attention is Green’s vocals. His voice and style is a total throwback. This is definitely evident on “Keep You Off My Mind,” a rockabilly track, which in 2016, is pretty refreshing. “Damage Done” follows and is another album highlight, which focuses on a relationship that’s gone bad. Again, very retro sounding. “Caroline” is a very upbeat track nicely complimented with Nancy Wright’s playing on the saxophone.

Overall, A Little Too Late is a very enjoyable album and nice introduction to Travis Green. There’s a good mix of a blues, rockabilly, country, and of course, some very nice guitar playing. If you’re looking for something a little bit different than the norm, A Little Too Late is worth the listen.

The Review: 8/10
