Already Free is the reigning Grammy award winner for Best Contemporary Blues Album. It’s an album in which Derek Trucks continues to cement himself as one of the best guitarists in the world, probably the best slide player.

There is nothing sweeter than the sounds of Trucks’ slide on Already Free. This album is very consistent from start to finish as there isn’t a weak track out of the bunch. Just solid, smooth, blues. Already Free is the most commercially appealing album to date from DTB.
