Eddie 9V unveils “Satisfy The Way I Do,” announces 2027 U.S. Tour

Eddie 9V has released his new single, “Satisfy The Way I Do,” from his forthcoming album Down Here, due November 6 via Easy Eye Sound. The Atlanta-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist has also announced an extensive U.S. headline tour for early 2027.

Produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, “Satisfy The Way I Do” was originally written and demoed in Eddie 9V’s home studio before being reworked during the album sessions. Auerbach helped develop the song’s hook, while the two musicians drew inspiration from their shared appreciation for Derek and the Dominos’ “Layla.”

“Another song I wrote and demoed in my home studio. Working with Dan was key—he smoothly came up with the hook I needed. This song makes me feel like I’m driving in a ’65 Mustang through the Hollywood Hills,” says Eddie 9V.

The single follows previously released songs “Whole Lot Coming For You,” a cover of George McCrae’s “Rock Your Baby,” and “Blowin’ Up,” which has climbed to No. 22 on Billboard’s Triple A chart.

Recorded at Easy Eye Sound Studios in Nashville, Down Here features 12 songs recorded in less than a week. Eddie 9V collaborated with Auerbach, Marcus King, Pat McLaughlin, and Daniel Tashian on the project, which incorporates elements of blues, Southern rock, country, gospel, folk, and R&B.

The recording process marked a change for Eddie 9V, who had previously handled much of the production work on his albums himself.

“It was fast and fluid. Dan really knows how to push me,” Eddie 9V says. “Realistically, it was also the first time where I was able to be an artist rather than to have to act like a producer, too, and think of everything else.”

Down Here follows Eddie 9V’s previous albums Little Black Flies (2021), Capricorn (2023), and Saratoga (2024).

The new release comes after a busy year that included a month-long tour supporting The Black Keys and an appearance with the band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Eddie 9V will continue touring throughout the remainder of 2026 before beginning his newly announced U.S. headline tour on January 15 in Greenville, South Carolina. The tour will run through February 27 in Denver, Colorado.

Additional headline performances in the United Kingdom and Europe are scheduled for 2027.
