Premiere: Ollee Owens – “Nowhere To Hide” video
In a Blues Rock Review exclusive premiere watch the music video for Olee Owens’ “Nowhere To Hide.” It’s the title track from the new album released on October 25.
Ollee said, “When considering a concept for the ‘Nowhere to Hide’ music video, several ideas were tossed around before landing on what you see depicted. The intent was to present a visual bridge between historic and current ‘troubles’ – leveraging old imagery alongside familiar and non-descript current events. All this speaks well to the ongoing and pervasive trouble we all sense, see, and experience – trouble that exists all around while calling forth strength, resilience, and togetherness to withstand and persevere no matter what.”
Owens adds, “The video was filmed in a large warehouse to accommodate the large screen in the background and to create room for interesting camera shots. I wore bright red to resemble the courage and boldness required to stand up in the face of difficulty. I wore white at my core to represent the purity of heart, mind, and spirit required to not turn into a monster while fighting the monster, that is, all that capitalizes on our fear. My hope is that efforts made to deliver this unapologetic presentation will awaken resilience and uplift your spirit. “You can make it through – we will make it through. You must not give up, we must not give in. There is hope – there is always hope cause there “ain’t no trouble gonna’ bring us down!”
