Bonamassa notches record 28th #1 Blues album

Joe Bonamassa has earned his record 28th #1 album on the Billboard Blues chart with Live at the Hollywood Bowl with Orchestra. The #1 charting album extends Bonamassa’s record of having more #1 Billboard Blues albums than any other artist in history. The album didn’t just chart number 1 for the blues category either.

Bonamassa reacted on social media saying, “Many thanks to everyone who has made “Live at The Hollywood Bowl” number 1 in 3 categories including Classical and Classical Crossover. 28th #1 in Blues category. I am so grateful and honored by the support.”

Bonamassa’s 28th #1 Billboard Blues album comes less than a year after Bonamassa earned his 27th number #1 album with Blues Deluxe Vol. 2.

Bonamassa kicks off his U.S. tour later month.

  • That was his crowning achievement for Smokin’ Joe. 28 number ones in a row, now that’s what Joe Bonamassa achieved greatness.
