Video Premiere: Lara Price – “We’re Still Friends” featuring Mike Zito

In a Blues Rock Review exclusive premiere watch the music video for Lara Price’s “We’re Still Friends” featuring Mike Zito.

“In the spirit of the upcoming Trump/Biden debate, ‘We’re Still Friends’ is a fun rockin’ sing-along to remind folks that it’s ok to agree to disagree,” says Lara Price. “‘We’re Still Friends’ was written by my friend Mighty Mike Schermer and Felice Garcia. When he sent it to me in its raw form, guitar and vocals over a text message, I fell in love with it instantly. Mike has a way of making it OK to say what we feel through his songwriting. This is our 3rd record working together. It was heartbreaking to watch all of our friends and families break up over the pandemic. As we approach another contested election I thought it timely to release this fun sing-along with the intention of bringing folks together that can agree to disagree.

Lara adds, “This song features Mike Zito on lead guitar, plus San Francisco Bay Area musicians: Randy Hayes on drums, Endre Tarczy on bass, Baxter Robertson on keys, Kid Andersen on percussion and The Sweet Nectar back up vocalists: Sue McCracklin and Maureen Smith.”

Mighty Mike Schermer says, “The idea for ‘We’re Still Friends’ was brought to me by my friend Felice Garcia, a lovely singer and songwriter from Nevada, who now lives in Texas. It’s about repairing the relationships that so many of us have lost over the years due to our differences over politics and social issues…which is silly. You can have a difference of opinion with someone and still love that person. Hell, you don’t even have to like someone to love them. We need to get back to more of that in this world, so that’s what this song is really about.”

“We’re Still Friends” is featured on Price’s newly released album, Half and Half, which is her debut with Gulf Coast Records.
