Premiere: Eric Johanson – “Never Tomorrow”
In a Blues Rock Review exclusive premiere, watch the brand new music video for Eric Johanson’s “Never Tomorrow.” The track is featured on Johanson’s upcoming album, Below Sea Level, available September 18th.
“It’s a straight ahead summer rock song about living and loving in the present tense when the future is uncertain,” Johanson tells Blues Rock Review. “A lot of things seem up in the air at the moment, and there truly are real societal challenges without easy solutions, but it’s still an awe inspiring thing just to be alive. That eventual time, where we imagine we’ll get around to really loving and appreciating each other just doesn’t tend to get here on it’s own. We have to choose to do it today.”
Johanson adds, “We filmed most of the video on a rooftop in New Orleans, with the downtown skyline in the background. There are some shots of boarded up buildings, which some might recognize are iconic New Orleans music venues. They have all been shut down since mid-March due to the pandemic. These places need our support right now, to protect the future of live independent music.”
