Netflix is set to debut a documentary on legendary bluesman Robert Johnson on April 26th. The documentary is called Devil at the Crossroads and is part of Netflix’s documentary series Remastered, which investigates high-profile events featuring legendary musicians.

Devil at the Crossroads is directed by Brian Oakes and features an in-depth look at Johnson’s short, and mysterious life. The documentary also includes interviews and performances with Keith Richards, Keb ‘Mo, Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt, and more.

Pete Francis

Pete Francis is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Blues Rock Review. Pete founded Blues Rock Review in 2010 because he felt there was a major void in how the blues rock genre was covered. Pete is the host of Blues Rock Weekly and a co-host on the Blues Rock Show.

  • They focused on Keith Richards and Bonnie Raitt (and others) with regard to the heavy influence Robert Johnson had on their music. Strange they did not mention even one time, that Elvis Presley grew up in and around that region and certainly was no stranger when it came to the style of Robert Johnson. Was this deliberate due to some sort of copy=rights?
