Pete Francis is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Blues Rock Review. Pete founded Blues Rock Review in 2010 because he felt there was a major void in how the blues rock genre was covered. Pete is the host of Blues Rock Weekly and a co-host on the Blues Rock Show.

  • Diamond Head early albums, the White Album in particular. That is the closest the UK ever came to a natural successor to Led Zeppelin. Kingdom Come is another. Remember when their debut album started to get radio play and thousands of listeners thought Led Zeppelin had reformed.

  • Thanks for the suggestions, I’m anxious to give them a try. I recently rediscovered Led Zeppelin, was a big fan throughout the 70’s and beyond.

    Blues rock definitely does need an influx of a newer, younger audience. Stevie Ray may have been the last big thing in Blues Rock, he went mainstream.

    I would say has some Zep influences plus a great classic rock album! One of my favs of recent vintage

  • A couple bands that have that Zeppelin-like influence are: “Slow Season” from Visalia, CA.. Also “Mad Shadow” from Vancouver, BC…
