Underrated Bands: June 2017

In the first edition of Underrated Bands, a new monthly video series on Blues Rock Review, the spotlight is put on The Brew, The Heavy Eyes, and Robert Jon and the Wreck.

Pete Francis

Pete Francis is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Blues Rock Review. Pete launched Blues Rock Review full-time in 2011 because he felt there was a major void in how the blues rock genre was covered. Pete is the host of Blues Rock Weekly and a co-host on the Blues Rock Show.

All I got to say is go and find “Eliza Neals” wherever she and her band are playing it’s truly a musical experience like 1969 I was there then and she makes me feel it NOW… will not disappoint

I too like the idea of Underrated Bands.
From an earlier response I am familiar with JJ Grey and Mother Hips. I feel a need to drop a few other names; Davy Knowles, Samantha Fish, Mike Zito, Eric Steckel, and Devon Allman. You’ll find these artists are seriously buried deep into the Blues/Rock genre.

Albert Cummings absolutely blew me away. Hard to believe he’s not more nationally renown.
