Grady Champion: Shanachie Days Review
Grady Champion’s album Shanachie Days is an excellent piece of work showcasing his gift of singing and playing the blues on his harmonica.
Grady sings and plays over the classic blues forms with the soul and sound of the blues greats of the past. He tells fantastic stories through song. With a raspy quality to his voice, he wails in the song “Roberta” both vocally and on the harmonica. He displays his soul and original song concepts in upbeat songs including “Policeman Blues,” “Love Is My Middle Name,” and” My Rooster Is King.”
There is no question to Grady Champion’s capabilities as a musician. For classic blues lovers, Shanachie Days will surely be a favorite.
