Rival Sons: Rival Sons EP Review

Rival Sons is the self-titled EP from Los Angeles based rock group Rival Sons. Rival Sons are a blast from the past bringing 70’s style rock with modern freshness. The band has been quickly gaining momentum with 2009’s debut, Before the Fire, the self-titled EP, and a new album due out next month.

Rival Sons bring a combination of blues, rock, and soul in a time lacking truly great new rock bands. Rival Sons are a truly great rock band with fantastic tight playing all around and incredibly soulful vocals from Jay Buchanan reminiscent of Robert Plant. They are the band to watch out for in 2011.
