Marcus Bonfanti: What Good Am I To You Review

What Good Am I To You is the second album from Marcus Bonfanti. Bonfanti is another one of the up and coming young British blues guitarists.

While most of that group centers around the electric blues, Bonfanti brings the more mellow acoustic side of the blues, though he does rock the electric on a few tracks including the instrumental “Tweed Blazer.” Bonfanti plays acoustic, electric, slide, and throws in some finger picking as well. He really does it all on this album.

What Good Am I To You is not your typical blues album. While many newer blues albums struggle to remain fresh What Good Am I To You stands out. The title track and “Give Me Your Cash” don’t sound like your ordinary take on the blues, that’s why they’re so great.

What Good Am I To You is a solid second album from Marcus Bonfanti and is definitely recommended for anyone looking for some easy listening fresh sounding blues.
