Inca Maya: Inca Maya Review

The first time I heard Inca Maya was on my Pandora radio station and instantly went and downloaded their album. I tried doing some research on the band, but did not find much other than they opened for The Derek Trucks Band a few years ago, which definitely isn’t a bad sign.

Released in 2008, Inca Maya grabs your attention right from the first track with “Where You Are,” which starts off with a world sound and then just begins to rock! The album is very versatile featuring rock, blues, funk, and world music with some horns mixed in.

Although it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing another Inca Maya album any time soon as they appear to be no longer active, they sure left us with a great debut.

The Review: 8/10

Can’t Miss Tracks

– Highway
– Blink of an Eye
– Where You Are
– No Tomorrow

The Big Hit

– Highway: This song has a riff very reminiscent of Soundgarden. It rocks hard and is worthy of airplay.
